Rosemary-webRosemary has been following her passion for fitness since she worked out with her first Jane Fonda video in the VCR, legwarmers and all, circa 1985, and (thankfully) hasn’t looked back. Her biggest influence in her journey was when she discovered Bill Phillips and his Body For Life program in the early 2000’s. The combination of resistance training, HIIT cardio and healthful nutrition while eating 5-6 meals a day with a plan and a purpose created a powerful mental and physical transformation that she wanted to share with others. She enjoyed coaching others in her community and collaborating with other followers on the program on the message boards, even when the internet was at it’s infancy.

Rosemary graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA in Communications and although she had a demanding and successful career in video editing and production for over 15 years, she always did her best to keep fitness as a priority. She trained and competed in the Dublin Marathon with the Leukemia Society, the MS Jersey Shore Coast the Coast 170 mile bike ride from Sandy Hook to Cape May and various 5k and 10k races. Rosemary is also a horse owner and competed at many adult amateur eventing horse trials in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, including Fair Hill and Plantation Field.

When Rosemary became a Mom, she was determined to continue to make health and fitness a part of her growing family’s lifestyle. She worked at the YMCA as a personal trainer and TRX instructor. When she found Stroller Strides/Fit4Mom, she had found her calling. She is now and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, AFAA Group Exercise instructor, as well as having certifications from Stroller Strides (Fit4Baby, Stroller Strides, Body Back Pro), NETA Kettlebell, YMCA Pilates.

In addition to her Fit4Mom classes, personal training and group training services, Rosemary also hosts her local Plum Moms Club, which is free to any Mom in the community and includes playdates, Mom’s Nights Out and other events to help connect Moms in the Chester County, Pennsylvania area.

In the next year, Rosemary plans to expand her Fit4Mom schedule to include Stroller Barre classes, LEAN Awareness nutrition classes and 5K/10K running programs that will be open to the community.

In her spare time, Rosemary enjoys going on adventures with her husband, Scott, and her 2 children and hopes to get some time back in the saddle with her 20 year old QH/paint, Eagle.

DebMellingerI have been working out with Rosemary at Stroller Strides for 2 years and I have really enjoyed it. Rosemary helped me modify my exercising as needed during my 2nd pregnancy and she has also been a great help and motivator to me with losing the baby weight from baby #2 🙂 Her workouts and exercises are always fresh and new- nothing ever gets boring at Stroller Strides! Thanks to Rosemary I have dropped 8lbs so far and trimmed inches from my arms and waist. I also feel better these days- I am able to jog farther and workout harder than before. Thanks Rosemary!

Stroller Strides is a really great workout, with amazing flexibility because we workout with our children right beside us. Rosemary always keeps us motivated and keeps the class moving. I have seen such positive results in the past few months since I have been working out with Rosemary at Stroller Strides because she creates a workout that really is appropriate for all fitness levels, so everyone can be fully involved. All of the children and babies have a great time as well!!! We love it!

I love Stroller Strides!! It has become something I look forward to every week. It is good for me as a stay at home mom. I’ve met a lot of friends and my daughter has fun socializing with the other kids after class! It’s a great full body work out. SarahSnyderMelissaJoarderRetouchedI have been a member of Stroller Strides since August 2011 and I absolutely love it.  I have been an athlete my entire life but after being done with competitive sports in college, I struggled to get myself on a consistent routine of running and working out.  I worked a lot so I would try to fit in work outs when I could but I missed having a coach or in this case, an instructor, motivating me.  After having my daughter in June 2011, I knew I needed more than just a few occasional jogs or work outs on my own to get back in shape.  That’s when I found Stroller Strides and Rosemary.  I loved the classes instantly.  Rosemary does a great job at planning classes that give us a total body work out.  I have really enjoyed getting back into shape.  I didn’t realize how much I missed having an instructor motivating me to push myself harder.  I will be continuing to take Stroller Strides classes with Rosemary for years to come.

leeann-testimonial-smallSince the start of Stroller Strides, I’ve been able to accomplish things that I’ve never thought possible.  Despite being a competitive swimmer throughout my college years with records that are still standing, I never thought it was possible to run half marathons or compete in triathlons!  I thought they were for athletes that were more “well rounded.”   Since Stroller Strides and Body Back, I have run in 2 half marathons, competed in 6 triathlons and have improved my times each time I competed.  By doing Stroller Strides and Body Back, I have given my children an excellent role model and have shown them that exercise is essential to a heathy life.  We exercise as a family and have fun doing it!  My four-year-old loves to do “burpees” with me and shows me proper technique!  🙂  Stroller Strides hasn’t just helped me get back to shape but has helped my family incorporate exercise as a normal daily activity and get us all into better shape!  Thanks!!!!!!!!!
